Rebeca Mayol-Sharp, M.D.
Dr. Rebeca Mayol-Sharp is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician and Assistant Managing Partner, Northeast Tarrant Internal Medicine Associates (NETIMA). NETIMA has two offices in Euless and one in the Alliance area of Fort Worth, and Dr. Mayol Sharp has been with them since 1995.
Dr. Mayol-Sharp was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico and received her medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. She completed her one-year internship and two-year residency in internal medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. During this time she served as a research technician and research fellow in Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern in Dallas.
She is currently a Credentialing Member, Texas Health HEB, she is Medical Director at Cornerstone Clinic in Fort Worth, and she is the Physicians Primary Care Chief at NTSP. “NTSP has helped us navigate the evolving healthcare world,” says Dr. Mayol-Sharp.
Since 1996, Dr. Mayol-Sharp has given presentations to various physician and nurse groups on Osteoporosis, Diabetes, Cholesterol, and Women’s Health.
Dr. Mayol-Sharp was awarded the Newton-Galusha Award of Excellence in 2010. She is a member of Women in Medicine, Christian Medical and Dental Society, Southwestern Class-Bank Committee, Southwestern Yearbook Committee, and she has served as Advisor, Crisis Pregnancy Center President.
In addition, Dr. Mayol-Sharp is a member and Sunday School Teacher at City on a Hill Church in Fort Worth. She is trilingual, speaking Spanish, English and some French.
Dr. Mayol-Sharp and her college sweetheart husband Kelly have two daughters. Dr. Mayol-Sharp says, “I strive to serve the Lord through my work.” Outside medicine, she enjoys reading, cooking, running, traveling and spending time with her family.
