Dr. Omar Selod is board-certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and practices at PMR Fort Worth. He is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the Tarrant County Medical Society, and the Texas PM&R Society. He has been awarded the “Top Doc” honor by Fort Worth Magazine 8 times since 2004.
Dr. Selod’s faculty appointments include being Assistant Clinical Professor at Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine, Faculty for Baylor University Medical Center where he served his residency, and Assistant Clinical Professor of Sports Medicine Fellowship at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth.
Dr. Selod founded PMR Charity in 2003 after he began to see an increase in the number of patients who were either without necessary medical equipment, unable to pay their medical bills or forgoing medical procedures due to financial constraints. PMR Charity’s mission is to assist families and individuals who have experienced an illness, trauma or unexpected hardship in the North Texas area. Dr Omar Selod was born in Wichita, Kansas and grew up in Fort Worth, Texas. He attended Trinity Valley School in Fort Worth from kindergarten through his senior year. He is married with three children and spends his free time coaching his daughter’s sports teams, golfing, or watching sports as he is an avid sports enthusiast. He also serves as Team Doctor for the Fort Worth Vaqueros Soccer team.
