Dr. Fawcett is one of four NTSP physicians who recently received awards from NTSP for achieving 5-STARS in 2015, and she was also a 5-STAR physician in 2014. This significant achievement reflects how well a physician manages the health needs of his or her patients. Certified in Family Practice by the American Board of Physician Specialists, Dr. Fawcett has been providing compassionate, comprehensive health care at Family HealthCare Associates since 1990.
Dr. Fawcett is affiliated with North Hills Hospital, where she has served on several committees, including the Medical Executive Committee, Credentialing Committee, and Peer Review Committee. In 2013, she was named the Physician of the Year by the American Academy of Specialists in Family Practice. She is also a four-time recipient of both the Texas Monthly Super Doc Award and Fort Worth Top Doc Award.
She is a member, and former President, of the Tarrant County Academy of Family Physicians. She is also a member, and former President, of the Tarrant County Medical Society, Northeast Branch. Dr. Fawcett has also been active in the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Texas Medical Association, the Galveston County Chapter of the Texas Academy of Family Physicians, and medical societies in Galveston and Halifax, Nova Scotia. In Galveston, between 1988 and 1990, she served as a family physician with St. Mary’s Hospital, and as Chairman of the Department of Family Medicine. She was also a leader in several committees at the hospital.
Dr. Fawcett graduated from Dalhousie University Medical School (Halifax, Nova Scotia) in 1979. She completed post-graduate training in 1981 and a preceptorship in 1982. She now serves as a preceptor in Family Medicine for senior medical students sponsored by the Texas Academy of Family Physicians.
Dr. Fawcett won the TCU Van Cliburn Piano Concerto Competition in 2000. She enjoys music, theater and travel, and is an avid fan of the Dallas Stars.
