NTSP Executive Director Dr. Karen Van Wagner is quoted in the journal article "Accountable Care Organization Prototypes: Winners and Losers?" by Harris Meyer. The article is found in the July 2011 issue of Health Affairs, a leading journal of health policy thought and research.

The North Texas Specialty Physicians (NTSP) Charitable Fund announced new funding opportunities for non-profit organizations, government organizations, private foundations, universities or faith-based organizations serving the North Texas region.

The NTSP Charitable Fund is currently offering two $10,000 grants. Those organizations chosen will present opportunities that serve the community and fit well within the Charitable Fund's misson of "Driving innovations in the coordination and integration of safe and effective patient care in the North Texas Region."

The two grant opportunities align with the Charitable Fund's purpose of strengthening the patient and physician relationship and improving health in our North Texas community.

Funding applications are due by February 15, 2011 and funding decisions will be announced March 15, 2011. Organizations can apply online at www.ntspcf.org
