North Texas Specialty Physicians (NTSP) is an Independent Physician Association (IPA) founded in 1995 and comprised of nearly 650 family and specialty doctors dedicated to delivering the best medical care to residents of North Texas. NTSP is governed by a board comprised solely of local doctors and managed by resident health care experts.
NTSP doctors take pride in providing quality medical care to more than 15,000 patients daily. The most recent annual NTSP patient survey reveals that 80 percent of patients say they're receiving superior medical care from their NTSP doctor. Results also show that 91 percent of patients have a high level of trust in their NTSP doctor. Such trust is well placed. Consider that:
- More than 95 percent of NTSP doctors are board certified in their medical specialization(s); most were trained at respected schools such as Harvard, Yale, Johns Hopkins, Cornell, The University of Texas, the U.S. Army Medical Corp., MIT and Duke. Some also serve on the faculty of those and other schools such as the University of Maryland, University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Northwestern, and the Mayo Clinic.
- NTSP doctors are regularly published in more than 200 national medical journals and periodicals such as The New England Journal of Medicine, The Journal of the American Medical Association and Southern Medical Journal. They also share insights and best practices with industry leaders such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and World Health Organization (WHO).
NTSP doctors also are active in the American Heart Association, American Lung Association, Ronald McDonald House, American Diabetes Association, I Have a Dream Foundation, United Way and many other community organizations.
