NTSP Overview

North Texas Specialty Physicians – known as NTSP – is an Independent Physician Association, comprised of nearly 650 family and specialty doctors dedicated to delivering the best medical care to the residents of Tarrant, Johnson and Parker Counties in North Central Texas. Unlike some physician groups, NTSP is governed by a board comprised solely of local doctors and is managed by resident health care experts. Since its founding in 1995, NTSP doctors have delivered high quality medical care to over 15,000 patients every work day.

NTSP doctors excel because they have been taught and trained at the best institutions in the world. Harvard, Yale, Johns Hopkins, Cornell, The University of Texas, the U.S. Army Medical Corp., MIT and Duke are but a sample of the schools that built the medical foundations of our doctors. Over 95% of NTSP doctors are board certified in their field of medical specialization.

For many of NTSP doctors, medical education didn’t stop after medical school. Research and medical education continue to be a priority. Over 200 national medical journals and periodicals such as The New England Journal of Medicine, The Journal of the American Medical Association and Southern Medical Journal regularly publish the medical findings and research of NTSP doctors.

Due to their professional reputations, NTSP doctors are regularly asked to share their medical knowledge. National and international organizations such as the Centers for Disease Control, the National Institutes of Health and the World Health Organization have called upon NTSP doctors in time of need. Likewise, NTSP doctors serve or have served on the faculty of numerous medical schools including those at Johns Hopkins, The University of Maryland, The University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, Northwestern, and the Mayo Clinic.

For NTSP doctors, medical care extends beyond the walls of an office or hospital. NTSP doctors are local leaders in the American Heart Association, the American Lung Association, Ronald McDonald House, the American Diabetes Association, the I Have a Dream Foundation, United Way and countless other community organizations.

The 650 doctors of NTSP take pride in providing quality medical care. The 2013 Annual NTSP Patient Survey reveals that 80 percent of patients surveyed say they are receiving superior quality medical care from their NTSP doctor. Results from the survey also show that 91% of the patients surveyed have a high level of trust in their NTSP doctor.
