Eating Healthy

Eating healthier will keep your diet balanced and help you feel better. It is important to have the correct amount of servings from each of the food groups.

You need:

  • 6 to 11 servings of a variety of whole grains (rice, bread, pasta, cereal).
  • 2 to 4 servings of a variety of fruits.
  • 3 to 5 servings of a variety of vegetables.
  • 2 to 3 servings of milk, yogurt, or cheese.
  • 2 to 3 servings of meat, poultry, fish, dry beans, nuts, or eggs.
  • A small amount of fats, oils, and sweets.
