Eating healthier will keep your diet balanced and help you feel better. It is important to have the correct amount of servings from each of the food groups.
You need:
- 6 to 11 servings of a variety of whole grains (rice, bread, pasta, cereal).
- 2 to 4 servings of a variety of fruits.
- 3 to 5 servings of a variety of vegetables.
- 2 to 3 servings of milk, yogurt, or cheese.
- 2 to 3 servings of meat, poultry, fish, dry beans, nuts, or eggs.
- A small amount of fats, oils, and sweets.
